interactive message for user’s to accept

    Hi All,

At my oraganization, we would like user’s to
consent for proper use of informational assets before authenticating to our network. Our main entry point is Novell login.

How would we go about setting such thing up where user’s would get an interactive message and either accept the policy or decline. we would need to keep track of who accepts and declines.
Can this be done in Novell Netware 5 or is there a third party software that allows this.

    Thank-you.

Can’t you simply do this in the logon script, as first lines (so directly after authentication)? If user declines, then force logoff immediately.

For storing the accept/decline answer on a place safe to manipulation (so not user’s home directory :->) you’d need to have a more complex program launched from the login script, with some client/server communication.

      Hi there,

There is an application or utility called PAM (Policy Acceptance Monitor). User reads policy, then can login.

This is a link to a reseller in South Africa, which has info on it. I’m sure you’ll be available to find more info abroad.
