Hi all, just a quick question:
Our company is using an SBS Box that hosts Exchange OWA and Sharepoint etc. We reguarly use both resources internally on the LAN, therefore we would as normal just type into IE, https://companyweb:444/ for Sharepoint and https://(SERVER_NAME)/Exchange for OWA. When we are accessing both remotely, we would normally type in: https://intranet.companyname.com.au:444/ (Sharepoint) and https://email.companyname.com.au/Exchange (OWA). However, there seems to be a conflicting issue with the SSL certificates and the site names because the SSL certificates must be issued in the name of the external access (i.e. intranet.companyname.com.au and email.companyname.com.au). However, when we try to type in either of those on the LAN, it automatically redirects us to our router which provides port forwarding to the appropriate server ports (443 & 444 – SSL). Is there any way to enable use of both of those internally rather than using the https://companyweb:444/ or the https://(SERVER_NAME)/Exchange so that the SSL Certificates match. I have seen other organizations with this type of setup before, where they can use their OWA address (webmail.domain.com) both internally and externally.
