I recently went from DSL to cable because of speed and when my computer is running straight trough the cable modem, IT ROCKS! I get like 11Mbps download. But the instant that I put my cisco 831 soho in line, my download is more than cut in half somewhere on the lines of 4Mbps. Which is what my DSL was running. Its not my computer because any computer acts the same when i go through the router. I have tried several code changes in the 831 including setting gateway etc… but nothing helps. I have changed cables and thats no help either. Any ideas? I have tweaked the TCP settings too and thats no help. The bottle neck is the Cisco 831. Help me plz……
