Try Add/Remove Programs, choose IE 6.0 SP 1 & Tools, click remove, 3 choices will present, 1.) roll back to previous install, 2.) Repair IE, or 3.) Add a Component to IE. Choose the repair option and reboot when done. That should solve it. If not I would go to the MS IE site and Re-Download and install offline the IE again and then re-ptch via Windows Update.

Seen the problem before.

Good Luck!

This is indeed a peculiar error. Have your tried to use alternative software, like Netscape or Mozilla?
Are you using software like Zone Allarm, Bullguard or an antivirus?
Try reinstall the TCP/IP or your network adapter driver.

You are basically saying you cannot open any web pages, right? If this is the case, I wonder what IP you are using, wouldn't be AOHELL now would it? Anyway, there are a number of things you can try.
1) Clear out your cache
2) Restore your computer to an earlier time before you started having the problem (but this is only a temp fix)
3) Uninstall your ISP software and reinstall it again
4) Look for a file called global.org and delete it. (when you restart it will be rebuilt again)
See if any of those things help, let me know!
