Internet Explorer Restarts

By arichart ·
Within the last couple of days I have had a problem with Internet Explorer 6. On certain websites, Internet explorer will open up an error report that you can choose to send to Microsoft or not and it has the option of restarting Internet Explorer. This happens over and over at the same websites and other sites run just fine. Any help is appreciated!

I would turn off "Error Reporting". My computer\Properties\Advance\Error Reporting and put a mark on "disable Error Reporting.
You aren't concerned whether a web sit has errors or not and it can lock up your computer. It's just another misguided Microsoft attempt to gsther data at your expense.

Or you can repair IE 6 if the SP1 has been installed already.

Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs, choose and highlight IE 6, click Remove, then check repair, Then click OK, allow it to repair IE 6, then restart.

Good Luck.
