Internet reputation

As soon as a document is published on the Internet, millions of people can immediately see it, and it is automatically indexed. As a result, someone searching the Internet with your name will get back all documents you are associated to, even those you are not the author. To convince yourself, just type your name in a search engine like Google.

However, there are some <a href="http://en.wikipractice.org/wiki/Internet_reputation">rules</a> which allow to control, not to say guarantee your Internet reputation

when I Google my name, the only results that pertain to me (and not someone else with the same name) are my postings here at TR.

Hmmm, same here except

I found out that I was missing. Since I've never updated my info or contacted anyone at the high school where I graduated my name is there with the correct school and year graduated but a Status of Missing. Hmmm, I didn't know I was missing. Think I ought to tell anyone???
