I am having problem connecting to the internet through cable modem. I have a cable modem but no router. I connected the network cable in one of my laptop and it started working. But when i plugged the cable in another laptop. It initialy searched for ip, and then gave a warning message “Limited or no connectivity”.
I tried to give static ip through control panel > networkconnection>local area connection>properties>tcpip> gave all the ip,dns,subnet mask etc which i copied from another laptop on which connection is working.
After this my laptop shows..LAN is connected but when i open intenet expl to surf for any site,it gives “can not display” page error.
I have already tried ipconfig /renew/release and netsh winsock reset etc commands….
PLZ help me…
