I have a Cable Modem, which fits my E-System type computer. I am experiencing problems with connecting myself to the internet. I am looking for some advice which will help me to solve this problem, The E-System type machine which i own gets stuck on the 169.254 IP address witch I know is the Windows defaults, so it can’t pick up an IP from a DHCP server. I have gone via the command prompt (CMD) and try to release it, and when i ping my IP address, i sent 4 packets, and i receive 4 back So how can I get it to work?
