Its been a while since I have joined a network to the internet and need to just double check my memory.
I currently have a network environment with a SonicWall Firewall, SBS 2003 Server and will be connecting the SBS 2003 server so that employees receive email directly to the server, can view their email externally, vpn, etc. In this scenario the firewalls IP is: 33.122.1.50
The router is: 33.122.1.49
Server is: 10.1.50.10
So when I install the server and its connected to the router, I have opened up port 25 for email. So I would setup the MX records to go to the firewalls IP with a colon 25, right (33.122.1.50:25)? So all inbound email would go through the firewall to the server? Same steps for webserver only different port.
Since its behind the firewall memory tells me that everything points to the firewall and then the server receives it through the port.
Correct? Then I would tell the firewall to forward that port to the SBS 2003 server?
