Is there a hardware firewall that can authenticate users on its own?

By chris.hazeldine ·
I have a client who has a small office and has all his services running off one W2003 server (Terminal Services, Print Server, File Server, RDP and VPN). In order to secure this setup, we would like to have a box sitting in front of the main router to authenticate users who try to login to the network from the outside (he does a lot of remote computing, as do a few select employees). Since he uses Terminal Services with Thin Clients, we want to limit users access from the outside network but not affect their connections from inside the network. Is there a box that can hold a database of users and PW and take care of this for us?

Thanks,
Chris
