ISA Server 2006 Remote Desktop Freezes, FTP Drops

by zemi . Updated 19 years ago

I installed ISA Server 2006 on a server that has nothing else running on it. I went in to our two DHCP servers and configured them so that they hand out the ISA server IP address for the gateway on all DHCP clients, so all traffic is routed through the ISA. Everything works fine but FTP connections drop after a few minutes and Remote Desktop freezes after a few minutes.

The ISA server sits behind a Cisco PIX 506e firewall (clients used to point to it as the gateway).

I installed ISA to block chat which is a success but now I have these two new problems.

I have disabled every filter within ISA that can be disabled. I have scoured the internet and apparently i’m the only one having this problem. Any help?
