Issue with Cisco 5520 to Nortel VPN

By cav584 ·
Hi all
I'm trying to establish a connection between the above devices. My Cisco device says Phase 1 has completed but then drops shortly afterwards when trying a rekey as below.

08-05 16:37:59 Local4.Notice Aug 05 2009 16:25:17: %ASA-5-713119: Group = xx.xx.xx.xx, IP = xx.xx.xx.xx, PHASE 1 COMPLETED
2009-08-05 16:37:59 Local4.Debug Aug 05 2009 16:25:17: %ASA-7-713121: IP = xx.xx.xx.xx, Keep-alive type for this connection: None
2009-08-05 16:37:59 Local4.Error Aug 05 2009 16:25:17: %ASA-3-713122: IP = xx.xx.xx.xx, Keep-alives configured on but peer does not support keep-alives (type = None)
2009-08-05 16:37:59 Local4.Debug Aug 05 2009 16:25:17: %ASA-7-715080: Group = xx.xx.xx.xx, IP = xx.xx.xx.xx, Starting P1 rekey timer: 64800 seconds.
2009-08-05 16:37:59 Local4.Debug Aug 05 2009 16:25:17: %ASA-7-720041: (VPN-Primary) Sending Phase 1 Rekey OK message (type L2L, remote addr xx.xx.xx.xx, my cookie , his cookie to standby unit
2009-08-05 16:37:59 Local4.Debug Aug 05 2009 16:26:21: %ASA-7-720042: (VPN-Secondary) Receiving Phase 1 Rekey message (type L2L, remote addr xx.xx.xx.xx, my cookie , his cookie ) from active unit
2009-08-05 16:37:59 Local4.Debug Aug 05 2009 16:26:21: %ASA-7-720042: (VPN-Secondary) Receiving Phase 1 Rekey OK message (type L2L, remote addr xx.xx.xx.xx

Then it just stops in the logs

The Nortel device is saying there is issue with the pre-shared key but this has been checked and double checked to ensure the devices are the same both end. All timers, ACL's have also been checked and are the same both ends.

Are there any common issues we should be looking for between Cisco and Nortel devices that could be causing problems?

Thanks all
Chris
