IT Security, What qualifications should I get?

by james.trevaskisja . Updated 19 years, 4 months ago

Afternoon All,

Im 20 and Im currently working in a Desktop Support role for a major company in Australia.

Im currently studying my MCSE and Ive done a network administrator certificate at tafe college.

What Im looking to do long term is move into IT Security, I want to focus on server security but branch out into all round network security in the future.

I want to get a CCNA certificate when I complete my MCSA, then Im lost where to move to.

I also want to get some sans certificates; GCWN (Securing Windows), GCIA (Intrusion Detection In-Depth), GCFA (System Forensics, Investigation and Response)

Long term I want to get a cissa qualification.

Can anyone suggest what certificate I should go for, and possibly in what order? Thanks

Im interested in some of the SANS certificates
