J2EE v/s PHP

By jmsaavedra ·
I need to support some decisions about selection of J2EE for developing new business aplications.
Which would be key facts for supportig that?. Instead of, i.e., PHP?.

Thanks

J2EE vs. PHP.

JM:

Choosing between J2EE and PHP is certainly a strategic decision and key to any new technology you might be developing. My approach would be to prepare a list of criteria?s to help in the evaluation of J2EE and PHP which would include budget, availability of talent, and scalability.

If you?re truly building an Enterprise N-Tier application and have money/time to throw at it go J2EE but if your application is simple and you need quick turnaround your best approach would be PHP. There are pros and cons for both but remember your two biggest factors are time and money and whatever money you spend on technology gets past back down to the customer. Drop me an e-mail if you?d like to brainstorm.
