Hi I found this group through google and need some help before the tech comes out tomorrow. I just got comcast with the phone service / internet modem installed after having verizon dsl. The tech had trouble connecting the desk top and decided to connect it to my laptop. I thought he connected both when he left and now cannot aquire an IP address for my desk top. I called them 3 times and they cannot help me so they are sending someone out but I think the first guy screwed up my computer and am nervous about a second guy coming out.
I am running XP and the computer is not old and dsl was running fine until they came and switched me and now the computer cannot access the internet at all.
Does anyone know what can be done to fix it?
