After harddrive crash,installing 40GB hardrive with win xp. Using SIS 7012 driverI have sound from rom drives to speakers.At same time,I have
power at USB port, but when I plug device in it disables sound drivers & shows device as 3rd usb port andunable to run [port mass storage device 128mb].If I uninstall sound driver or disable it and uninstall usb host & hubs and let win xp install on it’s own, I sometimes can get USB device to work…
System info: AMD Duron, MMX 3D 1200Mhz, AMI Bios Ver 03.25 Date 02.04.01 [Updated & flashed] OEM ID: 1131 = EliteGroup Comp Co. chipset: SiS735 rev1. When I ran ID program/test all passed, but Super I/O chip ‘is not found’ chip on board is ITE: IT-8705 F. I have downloaded SiS-900 Lan, SiS-962 USB as well. -CAN SOMEONE HELP?!
