When installing software on a computer, there is prompt for location of this file. I did a search for the file and turn up with 4 instances of it. Tried each one but the software installation still does not complete. I have looked at other computers, and see i386 folder in the root C directory. That folder is not present in C: on the computer. How can I get kbhid.sys back?

Install the Drivers for your custom Keyboard, keypad, Joystick or other Game controler.

It is a custom keyboard, microsoft wireless laser keyboard 6000, that is prompting for the location of the file. The installer searches for the file in the "i386" folder. On the computer in question, the i386 folder does not exist. The physical CD for the keyboard software exists. The OS is WinXP Pro SP3.
