I?m having two problems with my mouse I hope someone can help me with. The first problem is that when I click on the ?start? menu and select ?programs,? I can no longer right click to bring up the menu that starts with ?open? and ends with ?properties.? Most importantly to me, I can no longer ?sort by name.? I tried using my keyboard instead, thinking it was a problem with the mouse but that won?t work either. I can right click anywhere else on the computer and use the keyboard to bring up menus without a problem. I?ve tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them. I?ve tried removing the mouse physically and I?ve also uninstalled and reinstalled the Intellimouse software. Nothing seems to work.
The other problem I have iswith my wheel. Whenever I restart or cold boot the computer, I can only scroll one line at a time no matter how many times I change this to a different number in the control panel. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the drivers and Intellimouse software and that doesn?t help.
I?m running a PIII Gateway Solo 9550 with Windows XP Professional and am using a Microsoft optical wheel mouse. I?ve made no changes to my system before these problems began occurring. Please help.
