Dell – WIN2000 OS SP1 – No Virus’s
PC not restarted in about 3 weeks. Within or before that 3 weeks only installed Stomp Backup MyPC and Roxio Easy CD 5.1. Restarted machine would reach WIN2K splash screen (with blue status bar across bottom) andhangs there. Did a lot of troubleshooting, but nothing seems to help. Finally I unplugged everything and it restarted. By process of elimination I found that if keyboard is plugged in, it will hang. Since I am on SP1 I can’t plug in USB keyboard, nor can I plug keyboard in when at log in screen… won’t work. Had MotherBoard replace thinking it was PS/2 slot… nope. Replaced all KB cache files.. nope.. system restore.. nope… system only install.. nope… anyone heard of this?
