Here is what happended in a nutshell. I have an Averatec 6200, that has worked fine, with the exception of minor things. I have a password setup on my log in and enter it everytime to log into WINXP. I turned on the laptop today and attempt to input the password but only get the little Windows Hand when placing the cursor over the password input area. Have tried FN key in combo with every other key and I still cannot input the password.
