    Load balancing

    Which do you consider to be the best load balancing system in a “server farm” for an intranet application? And why?

      We currently employ the Zeus Load balancer from Zeus Technology based in Cambridge. We currently have two Sun Ultra Sparc unix web servers that communicate with two HP LH4 App servers at the rear. The load balancer sits in between and controls the web servers. We have been running this configuration for some time now without any problems what so ever. We have used various other load balancers in the past, but these have all proved troublesome.
