Load balancing different WANs? Any thoughts?

by jason.sutcliffe . Updated 18 years ago

Hi Everyone. Was wondering if any one could help with out problem.

Basically were running an internal Citrix server which is connected to outside users via our fibre optic line using static ip’s.

What were trying to do is load balance, so if the fibre line went down we could automatically move on to our adsl lines.

I know this can be done using load balancing routers and other hardware but the problem would be the ip addresses would not match for what everyone is currently using.

Does anyone know of a way around this? Is it possible to set up some sort of proxy server on the ip which would then direct traffic to which ever connection?

Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Jason
