Do you know of a technology that will allow me to use the unused partions of local computers in a P2P environment.
We have hundreds of PC’s and a smaller number of Sun Unix clients. Each of these workstations have at least 10 GB of storage that is not used. Is there a technology available that will allow this storage to be used in a “napster-like” environment? The technology needs to provide the capability of being centrally managed for backup & restore. Anything else would be a plus.
