Local Lan works only when connected with Cisco VPN

by venkat.srinivasan . Updated 19 years ago

Hello
i have a very strange problem . I have a cisco vpn client installed on my windows xp machine to connect remotely to client sites or to connect to our work network from outside. When iam in the local lan in the office , i cant access the file and printer sharing windows drives unless i initiate a VPN connection to a remote site . This is quite reverse to the phenomenon when the local lan gets disabled when on the vpn. this is the opposite.
If i remove the ‘Client From Microsoft Networks’ and add it back it works but on the next reboot i have the same issue.

Anyone have any ideas ?
Thanks
