    Local networking

I run a small trucking business and just built a new small office. I am trying to hook my desktop (windows 10) up to my Lexmark x658de without having a usb line run across my floor. My secretary’s desk and pc is next to the printer and is also hooked up usb. When we rebuilt office I ran cat5e at each location. Is there a way to connect my pc to her pc via Ethernet and have her computer connected to printer via usb And in a sense share the printer to my pc? Printer is not WiFi enabled and we run our office off of Verizon hot spot since we live way out in the country with no ISP.

How you would do this depends on what you have

If the computers are already networked all that is required is to Share the Printer and then install the Printer Drivers on your computer.

If you just have Cat5 Cable run and no established Network it gets a bit more difficult as you have to setup a Network and somehow connect a Hub and establish the Network.

Also depending on which version of Windows is being used the setup varies and with the basic versions of Windows may not be possible as many of the more advanced bits of Windows is simply not present in the Base Version.
