logging off 2000/2003 terminal server

By bnagy ·
Lately our users have been having problems logging off of our windows 2000/2003. They click on start, shut down, log off and it takes anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes to log off from the server. This happens using remote desktop on servers that set up as application mode as well as remote administration mode. Is there any way to make the logging off process go quicker?

Do you have roaming profiles for your terminal server users? This is setup on their AD account. The bigger the roaming profile gets, the longer it is going to take the user to log on and off the terminal server.

A few of the users have roaming profiles, but the same thing happens to me when i log in to the server using the administrator account, which does not have a roaming profile.
