I have a Windows Server 2003 R2 set up as domain controller. I created a login script which runs fine, but am unable to edit the file through the GPO unless logged into the Administrator account. My normal login is Domain Admin and I tried adding my account to every group that Administrator belongs to. It appears the the SYSVOL share is set up properly and I am able to edit the file if I browse to it through explorer. Also, I can get to “Show Files” in the GPO so I believe it is linked properly, but trying edit it causes the “Windows cannot access the specified … you may not have the appropriate permissions…” message. Any ideas out there?
