Logon Scripts (I think)

By VI-Tech ·
Can anyone tell me if there is a way for users to logon to the server and have there profile saved on the server instead of locally on their machine? Logging on different machines with different users creates an account and I would like for that not to happen...... tks

You can do it with Active Directory Users and computer. Goto properties of the user and profile path and enter the path you want to have it for user on any server on your network.

Create a share on a server called Profiles, and make it a hidden share by sharing it as Profiles$. Give Users or Authenticated Users read access to it. Then like the above post says, go to the properties of the user accounts, and on the Profile tab put the path like so: \\servername\profiles$\usernameprofile. The folder UserNameProfile will be created and the user will be given full control of it. The next time they logon their profile will be copied.
