Long Distance Networking using UTP(CAT5)

by pinoy_teknik . Updated 23 years, 6 months ago

I have a DSL(256k) internet connection and i share that connection of the internet using the 4-port Linksys Rounter. One of my hub(10 MBps) are connected to the router that connects my 8 pc at the office. My internet connection works great…..

My friend of mine wan’t to connect his computer to my office network. By this connection he can also access to the internet. He is 600-700 ft. away from the office.

Is this possible? I heard that UTP cables connection from hub to PC have a limiteddistance.

If it is possible, how can i done this thing? Do i need some components to add? What it is? Is it Available to market?

How to setup that component?

Thanks in advance.
