Looking for a full featured Firewall/VPN/UTM/etc solution

By cperry ·
I'm looking for a decent solution to use for my small business clients. I'd prefer a one-box solution but multiple solutions will work if necessary. The key is it needs to be for small businesses so around $2000 is my max cost.

Here's what I need:
Obvious security features

Easy VPN solution- Primarily one with little/no client configuration needed. I do mostly remote support and it would be nice to simply email them an executable link that has everything pre-configured.

Virus/Spam blocking- Both for email and web browsing.

Web filtering/monitoring- Block porn and even social media as the client desires. I'd also like the ability to use time based rules to open up certain sites for clients during breaks.

QoS- For VoIP and such.

The closest thing I have found to this is Untangle which is an Open Source solution that you install on an extra box. I've tested it and it works fairly well but the OpenVPN executable can act funny with Windows 7 occasionally. Other than that one problem, albeit an important one for ease of deployment, I love the Untangle software.

I have been looking into some of the SonicWall solutions as well but haven't actually tested them yet.

I've used a lot of Cisco equipment and while I love their products, price seems to be a big hindrance here to get all of the features I'm looking for.

Any thoughts or at least some possible options to look into?

Options

Since you have used the 2 solutions I would recommend, I would use Untangle for everything except the VPN endpoint and setup a SonicWall TZ appliance (series dependent on number of users). This way you avoid the recurring fees from SonicWall for content filtering and still have a good VPN client/endpoint solution. Just use Untangle behind the router as a transparent bridge.

I hope that helps. Let me know if you have questions. Thanks.

Another Option

Checkpoint's safe@office series is pretty affordable and also provides all the options you need. I have customers using both Checkpoint and SonicWall and both are workable.
