Loosing Email Connectivity after a log-off log-on cycle

by jsmith . Updated 19 years, 1 month ago

Just bought 6 new DELL, XP sp2 machines, 5 with Office 2007, one with Office 2003. Once the machines were configured to my network (simple peer-to-peer), everything worked great = network connectivity, internet connectivety, email sending and recieving. However, once a user logged off and then logged back on, the only thing that WOULDNT connect is the email. Tried to “telnet” the mail server – and it wouldnt connect. So in troubleshooting, I disabled all firewall stuff – and still the only way to make it connect is to reboot the machines – then everything works great. But the first time a user logs-off, then logs back in – no email?

Any ideas?

Thanks
