Map Internet Email and Aliases to GroupW

By brwatters ·
Ok .. so anyone have a location to learn about just how to MAP incoming Internet email and internet email aliases to a groupwise mail box? .. GW 5.5 .. using the Internet Agent .. I can send and receive full internet email now via the GW clients through the Internet GW Agent gateway .. works great .. however I need to have different names on the email address .. ie cynthia needs to be cmartin@domain .. as you know changing the logons in novell would be a real drag .. so I know there is a way tomap and or change incoming email to a current GW mailbox name .. I also have a need to handle multi email aliases pointing to the same GW mailbox .. HELP!

Piece of cake! You need to run //sys:public\win32\nwadmn32.exe, double-click the user to bring up their details, scroll down to click the "Groupwise Aliases" tab, and click add. You will need to select the Gwia as your gateway, then type the aliasyou want to set (cmartin) and you are done.

That is correct, but if you need multiple alias you cannot do it with that. You will need to add nicknames also. So you can point multiple internet address to 1 users. Pretty slick.....
