Mapped Share Drive

By NorComSpe ·
Our Users are using windows vista and are working within a workgroup environment. Recently we?ve been getting a dialog box that has the following error message.
An error occurred while reconnecting T: to //Sea-Bel/FMNW server/from data drive 01-02-10//Shared
Microsoft Windows Network: The Specific server cannot perform the requested operation.
Has anyone encountered this scenario? If so do you happen to have the steps that fix this error?

bottle neck / strange packets

by Ianpc04 In reply to Mapped Share Drive

More than likely , your having issues with the router repeating , i did some modification in my home office and on some machines behind the secondary router it would drop or have to repeat the process to go through .

you might want to check your ttl settings

so many seconds that it waits for a response
if that machine dosent respond due to dropped packets or data stream you will recieve the error the users literaly can see the shared drive but cannot acess it .

the only way i found that fixes it is to

reset one or both machines .

also reset the router or hub in the off chance its causing the issue.

also check if you have enabled any firewall settings , or blocked ports due to a security issue.
