I have a Compaq Armada M700 Laptop and when I turn the power on, it starts to count the Memory in the top left hand corner. It has a 6Gb Hard Drive and as you can imagine, it takes ages to count the memory and start up !!. Does anyone know how to turn the clock counter off? I have looked in the BIOS setting bu there is no facility to change the clock counter?? Please could someone help?
