    memory error message

    Locked

    by seadogs ·

I am getting the following message: “One or More Dimm’s is out of Rev” during the post when booting a PIII-600. Is this anything to be concerned about or a setting I need to change? I haven’t an idea of where to start with this. After this it asks if I want to run setup or continue, so I continue and haven’t seen any problems running the machine. Thanks for the help.

This is not fatal – only a warning!
Your system detected that one or more of the DIMMs are not the correct revision. DIMMs may not meet the Intel specification or wrong MHz DIMMs are installed.

      Hi Mary,

You did not state how much memory was install in your system. Is all of the memory installed being reported by the BIOS?

If your computer system is still in warratny, you need to contact Tech Support of the company you purchased your system from. It is their problem to resolve it.

Good luck and have a great day.
