Microsoft Photo Editor

Have a box with W2K OS, only the admin can open jpegs with Microsoft's photoeditor. When logged on as a power user I don't have the option to even change the file associations, the 'change' button is grayed out. Get message,"PhotoEditor cannot find[jpg path].Without giving the user's local admin rights how do I get power user's to see jpgs?

You can try and open the picture up in another "photo viewing" program such as the Adobe series or the "Paint" program... Are all users in the same boat as you with this? Can you try to open it up on another user's computer who has the same accessrights as you? Is the correct drive "mapped" where the program is stored? Or is it stored on your C: drive? Consider these questions, otherwise you going to have to request rights for the program, because if you don't have the correct priviledges, then you're not going to be able to use the program no matter what.

check the permissions on the directory that you are trying to access as the power user. (This is only if it is a network share. Or it could be that the local drive has permiisions set on it. Meaning different than the default. Which is Everyone
