Hi all,
I have been asked to install a new Windows 2003 Small Business Server to a domain where there is an existing Windows 2003 SBS. The new server is to replace the existing one which will be taken out of service.
The machine is all built and the software is installed, but there is clearly a migration process that is required to bring all the profiles over from the old machine to the new one. I have sought out information on this, and there is plenty on migrating from earlier server platforms to 2003 SBS, but I cannot find anything that will tell me the process to do what I want – move from and existing 2003 SBS to a new one – and I have not done this before.
Does anyone have any links to resources, or other information, that I could use to tell me how to accomplish this task in a reasonable length of time? I don’t really feel like sitting at the customer’s server console for hours while I fuddle about working out what to do.
I hope you can help.
Cheers,
Alan
