Here is my dilemma,
I have a server, DC1 that is the first DC in my domain, and also happens to be the first and only exchange 2003 server in the organization (all servers run 2003). What i want to do, is add a second server, EX1, and transfer all the exchange info onto this one. EX1 will be a standard member server of the domain. I follow microsofts knowledgebase article regarding rehoming receipt update services, moving mailboxes, etc., everything seems to be fine.
I uninstall exchange from DC1. The problem is now that when i go to Active Directory Users and Computers, the exchange tasks arent there, and when i create a new user, it doesnt automatically create a mailbox. Its like AD isnt aware that exchange is there anymore.
Please help me, what am i doing wrong. Im following article 822931 from Microsoft, i am not removing DC’s or anything like, just moving exchange from one server to another.
