MKE Panasonic CDROM Driver

I’m trying to find a MKE Panasonic CDROM driver for a Soundblaster 16 card(non plug n’ play) model No CT1750. I’ve found the spec for the CT1750 on Creative’s site, but I’ve had no joy on either Panasonic’s or Matsushita’s sites regarding a MKE Panasonic cdrom driver. Any help (as you all know) would be greatly appreciated,

  Goto Support -> Download Files.
  Choose DOS, CD-ROM 2x and below.

  Finding drivers for CDROMs and sound; I go to driverguide.com. they have listings of some of the most obscure drivers you could think of. Free registration. I signed up over a year ago and my subscription is still active. very quality site.

  I beleive that this CD uses an old proprietary IDE interface. Make sure that you soundblaster has an IDE connection that has Panasonic written on the board. While the connection on newer soundcards is physically the same the hardware on the older ones were designed specifically for certain CD-ROMS and will not work on a standard CD-ROMS. Conversly, the panasonic will not work with normal IDE interfaces, even with the proper drivers.

  Here is a page from Panasonic’s site for OEM cd-rom drives like your SB.
  
  http://www.panasonic.com/host/support/software-drivers-oem-cd-r.html
  
  If you look on the drive you’ll see a CR-5xx number. Just find the drivers you need on this page from that number.

  go to http://www.driverguide.com and do a search for thr CDROM. They will have it there… The login is “drivers” and the password is “all”

  The MKE Panasonic CD Rom driver is one of the default drivers for Windows. Perform a manual hardware installation (don’t let Windows detect it). Choose show all hardware (devices), and Panasonic should be one of the CD ROMs listed.

  This package will update your CD-ROM drivers for your DOS 2X Panasonic/MKE CD-ROM drives. This revision will correct mixed-mode CD support in version 4.21.

  If the CD-Rom has a model # CR-5XX and your e-mail account will support file attachments, then you can e-mail me at [email protected] with your e-mail address and I will upload the oringinal installion disk to you.

  your question is not cleared. CD Rom driver has nothing to do with sound card and vice versa. so tell me that which driver you are looking for ?
  
  If your CD ROm iss not working than try to install the Samsung Cdrom universal driver it works for all CD Rom.
