modem rack or Modem bank

By ydiakite ·
I am shopping for an integrated modem rack or modem bank for a mid size IPS. The device must have analogue modems and support 220v. The ISP preferres having integrated modem or modem modules in the device that will attach to their network for users to dial in.
Any suggestion on the device to choose or the technology will be very appreciated.
Thank you.

What you seek is called a modem pool: and they come frequently as internal cards so that the issue of 110v or 220v is no longer a biggie.

Best bet is to search internet for multiport modem providers. Don't rely on the tech at the stores they willtell you they don't exist as internals only as 4 port externals.

trueth is that internal modem pool cards come as 4/8/16/32/64 and 256 port varieties. Thusly the multiport card mounts into a single card slot in the pc, a single cable then runs tothe breakout box which houses the connections. Three styles of breakout are common RS232C standard IEEE438 standard and V90 T45 standard

The last one is the most functional cause it is a modem not just a port

hope this helps, but the way you didn't mention plateform. 94% of devices are UNIX/Linux/AS400 capable and 6% are Linux/Microsoft/Macintosh compatible.
