I have an IBM 300PL with a 17″ IBM 6556 PL72 monitor. I recently had to format and reinstall the operating system (Win 98 SE) and cannot get the correct driver or driver settings to install. The video is onboard and the Standard PCI Video Adapter (VGA) driver is installed and the color settings will not go beyond 16 colors and 640 x 480 resolution.
I downloaded the driver files from the IBM website but windows does not recognize them as the correct driver files for monitor installation. Prior to formatting the system had the full range of resolution options.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
