It wouldn’t hurt to update your motherboard drivers, video drivers, and direct x drivers. Load them in that order then reboot and see if there are any other problems in device manager. Should be flagged with yellow warning stickers. I have the same nvidia card in a system for my son and it works fine in windows 98, what operating system are you using?

check that your screen saver is not set to ‘blank screen’

You might have a failing monitor. Generally “no video” problems first exhibit themselves this way — intermittantly not having anything appear on the screen.

Try another monitor and see if the same thing happens. If yes, then look at the video card and make sure it is seated properly. Unplug the card from its slot and then plug it back into the same slot. Test again and see if the problem persists.

If the same problem does not happen with another monitor, then your monitor is going bad.
