Mouse cursor invisible?

By payaay ·
I cannot get a cursor on startup? Is there a fix for this? It happens starting up on both Win98 and Win2000pro. I need a cursor.

Either lower Hardware Acceleration , and/or lower the amount of colors?
Right click the Desktop.
Type R
Ctrl+Tab to the Settings tab
Alt+v
Ctrl+Tab to the Troubleshooting tab
If neccessary Alt+H to focus on Hardware acceleration and then use the Left arrow key to reduce the setting.

If that doesn't work, On the Sttings tab,
Alt+C and the use the Down arrow to reduce colors.

Is the mouse even working? After startup right-click the mouse and see if you get a pop-up menu for the desktop. If you do then follow dklipperts advice or get superc (this a file that has numerous bright-colored large cursors - I use it on all of my pc's to help these old eyes). If you can't find it drop me an email and I'll send it to you.

Hope this helps,
