We are running into a Production issue on MsSql 2005 (cluster) which we think is related to the Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MDTC): we are experiencing deadlocks. This doesn’t happen on any standalone MsSql installations. Note that our app requires SNAPSHOT ISOLATION to be enabled.
Can we remove MDTC from the cluster? Note that we are not using 2-phase commit, nor any MS SQL messaging service nor distributed queries.
Any other suggestions appreciated.
