MS Virtual Server 05

By NOW LEFT TR ·
I am interested to find out if anybody has attempted this, how they got on and if in fact it is a good method of hardware consolidation?

Does it really work?
How complicated is it?

To start it off

It is a program that installs inside Windows.
You will need a license for each OS that gets installed in virtual mode
aside from that, it has a nice little walk-through wizard which allows you to configure server 'spaces' and then boot from them (with original Windows install still running). VS will be in a window like another program.

Requirements are a bit different. Wou need at least the minimum requirements for each install (on top of the running OS). But this usually means a slow machine unless you pump up the system pretty good.

Say 2 x Duel Core Xeon Processors at 3.2
4 Gb RAM and a stack of space for the server?
