MSSQL 2000 on a windows server 2000 to windows server 2003 problems

By wendy ·

I have migrated a MSSQL 2000 database to a new server with windows 2003 (from a windows 2000) The service pack is 4, so that should be adequate to work with 2003. The problem I am finding our server in these last week, is the following:
The com+ items of one of the programs that uses MSSQL-server go corrupt after alot of data beeing transferred (like alot of input, making of facturation, etc..) So I have to reinstall the com+ application every time again.
Also I see alot of dllhost.exe files running on the server.
I don't know alot of MSSQL and neither of the program (it isn't written by me)
But when looking at SQL-profiler I do see alot of locks:aquired /locks:released /min right before the program crashes.. (200/300 /min)
On another program that uses the SQLserver I do get alot of time-outs.
Our backbone is glassfiber and the server is very recent too.. and the program is only used by 4-6 people, so I only have 4-6 MSSQL users at any one time.. I really have no idea anymore where I can find the solution. So that is why I come with my questions to you.
Do you have any idea what else I can test?
Thanks in advance for your help!
