We are attempting to implement a program on a network using VLAN configuration. A service resides on one VLAN (VLAN-A) and broadcasts its locaton for clients to find. Clients may be implemented on other VLANs (VLAN-B). Our WinXP client is able to recieve and respond to the multicast message across the VLANs (A to B)but the WinCE client is not. However, the WinCE client is able to ping the server on VLAN-A from VLAN-B.
Is there something unique to WinCE that is impacting this, or is it likely a configuration of the VLAN?
