Hi there.
I had this problem in title above. My host PC has connection to the internet through an ADSL Modem which also distributes connection to 5 other PC s with windows XP Pro. I have noted the external ip number of my Host PC and tried to Remote Desktop from another location with this IP. I have checked the port forwarding option from modem settings though couldn’t find anything. Anyways I think it hasn’t got anything to do with port forwarding, because i even cannot get answer to “ping the external IP” of the host computer. When i try to ping from Host computer to external ip, it works. How does it possible that my external ip is not reachable from the internet and how can i find a solution for Remote Desktop in this case?
