Ndis2 Driver???

By mckay_w ·
Inside my Sytem Information and under the Device Manager tab, down the list is Network Adapters, in this list is Ndis2 Driver, it says the device has failed. What is this driver?
This computer is not on a network, so what is this strange driver failure???

Ndis2 Driver???

by erikdr In reply to Ndis2 Driver???

Most motherboards now have Ethernet standard on board. That is probably why the NDIS driver is installed by Windows in your case. However if you don't attach a cable to it and a hub/network (look at the UTP connection on the back of your PC), it will give an error upon startup.

So this seems to be a 100% standard feature. SysInfo teaches you things under the hood of your PC :-)

Have fun,
