Trying upgrade to Win 98 on this system. I am having a problem with the SiS 5513 Dual PCI IDE Controller – when it exists in the profile, Win 98 will not start. When I delete it Win 98 runs ok. Win 98 will recogonize the device and set it up again, but I pass by the re-start option and Win 98 runs.
I have sent messages to NEC technical, they have not responded. Any ideals of what the problem is and possible fix.
